Kennedy & Associates are Prosthetic & Orthopaedic Footwear Consultants , the company was established in Cork in 1988. Our speciality is designing and manufacturing footwear for conditions such as Polio, Multiple Sclerosis (M.S), Parkinsons, Cerebral Palsy, Diabetes, Talipes (club foot), Arthritis, accident victims and many other conditions.
We also build custom Orthotics (insoles) made from casts taken from your feet.
Desmond made his first Orthopaedic shoe in 1964. He has had previous experience working as a designer with "Keelams" in Birr, "Dubarry" in Ballnasloe. Desmond was also the Chief Designer at Lee Footwear Ltd. in Cork. He also worked as a consultant designer for many London based companies where he collaborated with designers from Germany, France and Italy.
Bernadette:
Bernadette is the company General Manager.
Alan:
Alan re-joined the company in early 2014 following a career in design & engineering.
He had previously worked for the company for eight years.
Alan is responsible for the engineering of the patient's individual lasts and orthotics.
Kenneth:
Kenneth has been with the company for over twenty years.
He is our senior orthopaedic footwear technician and is highly specialised in this field.
Kenneth is responsible for the production of our prosthetic & orthopaedic footwear.
Sean:
Sean is our new trainee Orthopaedic & Prosthetic footwear technician.
He started his journey with us in August 2014 and has made great progress.
He has integrated very well into the team and proved to be a valuable asset to the company.
